about

The ancient Celtic festival of Samhainn is also called The Festival of the Dead. On this night the ancients believed that the veil between the living and dead would be lifted and you would be able to see and talk to your deceased loved ones, ask them for help and ask to see the future. This is my take on Samhainn

lyrics

Upon the night we call Samhainn
At the setting of the sun
when the gods they lift the veil
between this world and the world to come
and when the spectral moon she climbs the sky
and the shaman breaths as one
with primal soul, calling out to be
the long night has just begun

I give myself to the night
seen enough done my time
in the prison of mind
when castles build in the sky
the word on the ground is
the rivers are dry

A unicorn fell on a cracked river bed
thought I was flying, I fell instead
seize the moment
hold on till the sunrise
give my body and soul up to Samhainn

We wash despair as hope is born and we see what we'll become
amid druid chants and mutterings
and the beating of the drums
I saw the glow of my forefathers smile
in the flames that lit the sky
we ride the night on falcons wings
to bring in the eastern light

I give myself to the night
seen enough done my time
in the prison of mind
when castles build in the sky
the word on the ground is
the rivers are dry

Call on the goddess for a harvest of gold
planted in cruel ground
barren and cold
oh for an end to this dream hell sent - I am waking

When I saw a light though a half open door
reached out to take it but just like before
A unicorn...etc
