about

This is Scottish mouth music. Although it was sung as early as the 12th Century, mouth music became popular after Culloden when Scots were banned from playing bagpipes and wearing kilts!

lyrics

Horo haradala horo
haradala horo haradal heingi handan.
Dance to your shadow when it's good to be living lad
Dance to your shadow when there's nothing better near x2

Horo haradala horo
haradala horo haradal heingi handan.

Hin hin haradala hin hin haradala hin hin haradal hin haradal ho x2
There are tunes in the River Otter, pools in the river Water
pools in the river, and the river calls him x2

Hin hin haradala hin hin haradala hin hin haradal hin haradal ho x2

Horo haradala horo
haradala horo haradal heingi handan.
